My name is Bernadette McCallum.

I am a Mental Health Therapist/Counsellor

with 20 years of work experience.

I am from Day Star First Nation, Saskatchewan. Family is important to me, while being married for 25 years and raising two daughters and four step-children, it has taught me to be grounded and be in the presence of my family .

I am also a very proud kokum to lots of special grandchildren.

I strongly believe that every person has their own uniqueness, and I will adapt my therapeutic approach to meet each the individual needs and goals.

My counselling practice will focus on trust and respect.

I am a Registered Social Worker with Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers #2677. I have worked with individuals, families and professional groups for the last 20 years.

I have attained a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina and acquired several certificates in mental health, solution focus and attachment therapy. My interests are in the Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), strength based and family system therapy, have knowledge in First Nation traditional and cultural protocols.

I have worked in several frontline positions throughout my career. Some positions being within health care settings, school systems and non-profit organizations to provide counselling with adult, youth and children within Saskatchewan.

In my recent training, I have completed SIYA Yoga Teacher training in August 2021. I am now a certified yoga teacher with Yoga, Accessible & Adaptive - Chair Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga for Youth.
